Microservice execution lets you run code securely on both devices and sessions. When microservices are run from the Sessions view, they are session-type microservices. This means they run under the identity of the current session user, with the user’s permissions. Support operators can act on behalf of the user without disturbing them, which is especially useful for configuring applications and peripherals and for fixing errors without interrupting the user. For a microservice to be visible in the Sessions view, it must meet two conditions:
  • Have the Session context configured
  • Be in the Enabled state
To run a microservice on one or more sessions from Sessions:
  1. Select the session or sessions on which the microservice will run.
  2. Open the microservices menu and select the desired microservice.
  3. Confirm the operation.
