FlexxAgent Versions

This feature allows organizations to install FlexxAgent versions in a controlled manner. In this way, Organization Administrators can select which version of the agent will be used by the devices of the reporting groups they manage.

Configure versions as Organization Administrator​

To manage the versions of FlexxAgent, it is required that the environment has version 25.4.1 installed and the user is an Organization Administrator.

Steps to configure:​

  1. Access Portal -> Configuration-> FlexxAgent Versions.

The table will display the list of reporting groups in the organization with the following information:

  • Name: name of the reporting group.
  • Windows Production: version number set for Production on Windows.
  • macOS Production: version number set for Production on macOS.
  • Linux Production: version number set for Production on Linux.
  • Automatic Update: defined from the reporting group settings. It will always point to Production environments, not Early.

  • Early is the testing environment, where an operator can review if the version indicated in this field is functional for the organization's needs. It is recommended to be on Latest.
  • Production is the real environment. The version indicated in this field will apply to all productive devices of the selected reporting groups.

If the Show early versions button is activated, located at the top of the table, versions in the Early scope will be displayed for all operating systems.

  1. Select one or more reporting groups in the table to configure the FlexxAgent version for their devices.
  2. Click Set FlexxAgent versions. In the form, configure the version number for each of the two available environments: Production and Early, in all operating systems.

The form will also allow choosing whether to set automatic update of FlexxAgent.

  1. Click on Save.

If an Organization Administrator user decides to configure the FlexxAgent version to a lower level (downgrade), keep in mind that features corresponding to more recent versions will not be accessible.

Management from Workspaces​

Once FlexxAgent versions are configured for the Production and Early environments, a user can decide which will apply to the selected devices in the Workspaces module.

Workspaces-> Operations -> FlexxAgent -> Update FlexxAgent

A modal window will request to indicate in which environment that update will be applied: Early or Production.
