# Run microservices on sessions

Microservice execution lets you run code securely on both devices and sessions. When microservices are run from the *Sessions* view, they are session-type microservices. This means they run under the identity of the current session user, with the user's permissions. Support operators can act on behalf of the user without disturbing them, which is especially useful for configuring applications and peripherals and for fixing errors without interrupting the user.

For a microservice to be visible in the *Sessions* view, it must meet two conditions:

* Have the *Session* context configured
* Be in the *Enabled* state

To run a microservice on one or more sessions from *Sessions*:

1. Select the session or sessions on which the microservice will run.
2. Open the microservices menu and select the desired microservice.
3. Confirm the operation.

You can monitor the result of the execution in the *Operations* section.

You can view the script output from the operation details within the *Workspaces* tab.
