# Remote assistance

> Flexxible offers two remote assistance modes: Flexxible Assist (HTML5) and Remote Assistance (FRA)

## General configuration

The **General** block, common to both modes, is configured from the same menu as the rest of the remote assistance options (see [Configuration](/en/features/flexxible-assist/flexxible-assist-html5#configuration)):

1. Go to **Settings** → **Organization** (or **Reporting groups**, for a specific configuration).
2. In the side menu, expand **Remote Assistance**.
3. Select **General**.

* **Preferred technology.** Defines which mode is used by default: **FRA** (Remote Assistance (FRA)) or **Flexxible Assistance** (Flexxible Assist).
* **Remote assistance.** Connection type: *None*, *Dynamic* (requires FlexxAgent 24.9.2 or later), *Interactive*, or *Interactive and unattended*.
* **Actions as System Role.** Defines which user role can run actions as the system user during the session: *None*, *Administrators*, *Level 1 Support Team*, *Level 2 Support Team*, or *Level 3 Engineering Team*.
* **Technician display name.** Name of the technician shown to the user during the assistance. Supports the placeholders `[UserName]`, `[Name]`, `[LastName]`, `[FullName]`, `[NameWithInitial]`, `[Initials]`, and `[Department]`. If left empty, the technician's first name, last name, and email are shown.
* **Silent unattended assistance.** Allows performing unattended assistance without displaying on screen that assistance is being performed.
